Recreated devices with Serial Nos. ending 000001 to 001000 were manufactured for the backers of Elite's Kickstarter campaign and for those who pre-ordered a recreated device, directly from Elite®, before its release in Sep '15.
Recreated devices with Serial Nos. ending 001001 to 010000 were manufactured for Elite's former manufacturing partner - Ceratech Accuratus Ltd ('Ceratech') - and for those who ordered a recreated device, directly from Ceratech, after its release in Sep '15.
On 9th Nov, '17, Ceratech confirmed to Elite® that its inventory of the recreated device was "..all sold".
Manufacture of recreated devices for Ceratech has now ceased and no further manufacture of recreated devices, for Ceratech, will be authorised by Elite®.
Henceforth, recreated devices - including those with Serial Nos. ending 010001 to 999999 - will solely be manufactured for and only available from Elite®.
At the time of writing, Nov '17, the next production run of the Recreated ZX Spectrum is expected to take place at some time in 2018, 'though no date has yet been set. Consequently and until a further production run has been completed, the only source of new recreated devices - other than Elite® - is the residual channel inventory.
So ... to avoid disappointment ... get your new Recreated ZX Spectrum,
whilst you still can.
